We had a late lunch at By The Bay on the August Bank holiday Sunday. The restaurant was fairly busy, but things got of to a poor start when the waiter said he could not possible take both drinks and food order together. (He later came and took both orders together for the table alongside us). The food duly arrived and was absolutely fine - but the poor service continued throughout the meal. The worst of the food was a chocolate milkshake which we returned as my daughter said it was too disgusting to drink. When we queried that the milkshake was on the bill it set in action a chain of events that culminated in the owner yelling at my partner after we had raised the service issue. When she suggested she would be writing to complain the suggestion was: " You can write to God for all I care." As I mentioned at the start I appreciate that it was a busy day and we had no complaints with the food but the appalling service left a very bad taste in the mouth. ruined
